When I moved to California last September, The local studio schedule favored Hot Pilates and Yoga Sculpt classes. I was accustomed to Bikram; hot, but slow.

My partner is consistently the hardest worker in the room. Next to her, I had little excuse but to give it my all. In the beginning, my all flopped down on the mat an embarrassing number of times.

Eight months later, with consistent practice and a few small diet tweaks, I’ve leaned out and gained core muscle. I’ve become one of the hardest workers in the room. Now I’m motivated to apply small improvements and consistency to other areas of my life.
