That cyclist is in my way!

You’re pushing 45 in a 30 when you catch a flash of yellow and blinking red. Bicycle dead ahead. Cars to the left whiz past. You can’t get an opening to pass.

You remember your last driving test. Something about bicyclists being allowed to use the road (really?). Every so often you pass a stencil of a bike and two arrows.

To the right, parked cars and no sidewalk or bike path. Occasional driveways mark entrances to apartment complexes, strip malls, and gas stations. So, are they in your way, or is there simply no place for them to ride?
