Three things that changed the way I bicycle forever
My second hand mountain bike leaned against the wall in my fancy new loft apartment. Meanwhile, I saw driving in my small city a waste and had taken up walking 25 minutes each way to a 90 minute yoga class. That devoured three hours of my day (and made me late to the office). That’s when my friend Tony sold me a $20 used rack with dual side bags, called “panniers.” After getting to and from class in less than ten minutes with yoga mat and water bottle in tow, I felt invincible. I’ve since upgraded the rack, bags, and bike, which has become my pedal-powered SUV.
